Veteran actor Ramesh Deo to play Bal Thackeray?
Ramesh Deo or Ashok Shinde – who will be the real Mumbai Tiger has been the question going around many of the industry people’s minds. Veteran actor Ramesh Deo gave a look test for the film Mumbai Tiger in which he plays a patriarch of a right wing political family from Mumbai…Now isn’t his look close to that of Balasaheb Thackeray also known as the tiger of Mumbai?
However, Deo maintains, “This is a different character,” ”This could be a misnomer for all you know,” he guffaws with a twinkle in his myopic eyes. The film is directed by Raju Kokate who is making a very realistic film and has already cast Ashok Shinde in another very important role of Deo’s nephew in the film. Well the industry insiders are already speculating that Deo is playing Bal Thackeray and his nephew Raj Thackeray’s role is being played by Shinde.
Shah Rukh Khan was initially approached to play the said character that Shinde is playing in the film. The film is produced by Rajyog Films and Nidish Films and will go on the floors next week.
